WWE Title Set For Re-brand?

Reports broke last night that WWE would be rebranding one of its titles on the next episode of Raw following Wrestlemania. The title that seems to be set for a rebrand is the Divas title currently held by Charlotte who captured the belt at Night Of Champions in 2015.  Since the champion as well as Bayley, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch appeared in NXT and now WWE there has been a vocal fan base wanting change for the division. We seemed to be getting this in the form of the divas revolution before Summerslam however that quickly became a chaotic story which offered no progress for the female competitors.

Despite this Charlotte, Banks and Lynch have since been afforded time on Raw and Smackdown to further their rivalry. This extra time and a genuine storyline could be the signs of an attitude shift to the divas division as WWE finally support their women. Should this change happen and it becomes the woman’s title once more complete with a redesigned championship please allow the champion whoever it is following the clash at Wrestlemania to be the one to reveal it. We don’t want to see Stephanie McMahon feeding her ego once more at the expense of the talented stars who work 300 days a year plus travelling the globe.

This change would be just one step in ensuring the talented women get to showcase their in ring skills and bring the WWE’s women’s division up to scratch. This arguably shouldn’t have taken as long as it has because as shown in NXT the ladies of the WWE are more than capable performers and deserve to be highlighted. Nothing shows this more than the main event clash between Sasha Banks and Bayley at Takeover Respect as well as their show stealing clash in Brooklyn.

Currently this is still a rumour but make sure to keep your eyes peeled both here and on the next few episodes of WWE television to see if any changes take place. Below is one of the rumoured designs taking inspiration from the
current WWE World heavyweight Championship with a slight colour change and most likely smaller front face plate than the current male version.
