WWE Release Rich Brennan

Seemingly out of nowhere, World Wrestling Entertainment has released Rich Brennan from the company.

The announcer, real name Rich Bocchini, worked as the lead commentator for NXT before being promoted to SmackDown, where he had a good run before being replaced by Mauro Rannallo. Brennan also worked as a backstage interviewer, with his final chat coming this past Monday as he interrupted Becky Lynch's lunch (Becky Lunch?).
Brennan's response was fairly low-key. Twitter was where all the action happened, as his WWE account was deleted and his personal one came into use again. A simple 'Thank you. Come again #newadventures' followed, and that was that. Like ships passing in the night, Rich Brennan was gone.

The release comes as something of a surprise as Brennan seemed to be favoured by the company, and was more than cromulent in all the roles he performed. One can only assume the release was amicable, and here's hoping that's the case. Brennan and WWE may have come to terms on his release, but I don't know how we, the WWE Universe, will come to terms with the loss.
Goodbye, sweet Milhouse.
