Curious
as to what Daniel Bryan has been up to in the four months since his
heartbreaking retirement from World Wrestling Entertainment?
Well, if you assumed that the Master of the Small Package had just been sat on his couch browsing self-sustainable blogs you would have assumed wrong, as Mr. Brie Bella donned the spandex once more this past weekend to take part in his first Olympic Weightlifting competition.
The competition took place in Bryan's hometown of Aberdeen, Washington and whilst Bryan may not have been the overall grand champion he did get a pretty gnarly (yes, gnarly) sword as a prize for taking part. Bryan has been pretty active on social media over the last few weeks posting videos and photos of his various forms of training, which has included jiujitsu as well as straight lifting.
One can only assume that this isn't just a one-shot deal, and we can probably expect to see everyone's favourite bearded retired professional wrestler in various other athletic competitions in the years to come. He also took time to pose for some photos with fans, proving that whether nice guys finish first or last, nice guys get awesome swords and nice photos regardless.
