Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter notes that Vince McMahon has been absent from WWE television events for the last two weeks.
Reportedly, the Chairman of the Board won't be at TV next week either, meaning he'll miss both RAW and SmackDown go-home shows before SummerSlam.
There is no word on the reason as to why he has missed the last couple of weeks events, but it will come as no surprise to know that Vince was in almost constant-communication with both teams ahead of all shows and was still micro-managing every last detail of both red and blue brands before they went live.
This isn't the first time Vince has missed TV in 2016, as he was reported to have missed the tapings on June 20th and 21st. The vagueness of the reasons for missing the shows leads me to believe there is nothing major behind it. Still, it is very out of character for the work obsessed 70 year old.
