Randy Orton Injury Update – When Will He Return To WWE?

Randy Orton may have been put on the disabled list last October, but he attended the Hall of Fame ceremony Saturday night in Dallas.
While being interviewed on the red carpet prior to the event, “The Viper” revealed that he’s about two to three months away from being able to return the ring.
Orton, who headlined WrestleMania 30 and defeated Seth Rollins at WrestleMania 31, injured his shoulder prior to October’s Hell in a Cell Pay-Per-View, forcing the cancellation of a scheduled tag team match with Dean Ambrose against The Wyatt Family. At the time, he was expected to be out for approximately six months, taking him out of WrestleMania 32 in the first of many injuries which have plagued the event.

Shortly after Orton’s surgery, the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Orton would need a spinal fusion after his recovery, potentially leading to an additional year-plus of recuperation.
Thankfully for Orton, the doctors who advised he have the fusion surgery later amended their diagnosis, telling “The Viper” that he could wait on the more serious procedure. At that point, some fans began to speculate that Orton would be able to return for WrestleMania, but Ric Flair confirmed on his “WOOOOO! Nation” podcast that Orton would indeed miss the show.
