Lovers
of gaspy cryptic promos and lights-out attacks will sleep a little
easier today, as it is being reported that Bray Wyatt is scheduled to
return to WWE live events as of next week.
Wyatt has been out since April, when he injured his right calf at a live event in Milan, Italy, and his imminent return was confirmed by Vince McMahon at the company's quarterly call a couple of weeks back.
There's no word yet on whether Wyatt will return to RAW or SmackDown, or what his status is regarding Money in the Bank, but all will surely be revealed soon. Those who like to read way too far into things can create their own theories around why it is taking WWE so long to confirm the 7th participants in the 2016 Money in the Bank ladder match.
As with any returning star, it will be fascinating to see how Bray Wyatt is portrayed when he returns to WWE television. Before being injured Bray seemed to be making something of a face turn, so will this continue next week? Or will WWE do with Bray what they have seemingly done with Seth Rollins, ride out the initial hero's retu rn pop and then turn him back heel?
Either way, I'm guessing Erick Rowan and Braun Strowman are pretty happy about this news.
