Shane McMahon’s next advertised WWE Raw appearance is the March 7 show in Chicago, which is always one of WWE’s hottest crowds.
That means a face off with The Undertaker could still be a few weeks away. The veteran icon is advertised for Raw next week, but Shane isn’t. As for the Chicago Raw, Taker isn’t advertised.
The reason for keeping them apart is perhaps to focus on the Shane versus Vince narrative. However, it would make sense to have some sort of eventual face off in which Shane and Taker do express animosity towards each other. Conflict is key to any drama, and if it is all about Shane’s feud with Vince, it could end up overshadowing the actual match.
On next week’s Raw, fans should expect The Undertaker to make clear he isn’t on Vince’s side. He’ll likely say the only thing he fights for is his WrestleMania legacy, and that’s why he will have to defeat Shane on April 3.
