WWE Bringing Back Legion Of Doom Tag Team?

Whenever World Wrestling Entertainment registers for new trademarks, rumours begin to swirl regarding their reasons for doing so.
The latest trademark the company has put in for is none other than 'Legion of Doom', the name used by the iconic Road Warriors when they worked in the World Wrestling Federation and the name of a stable headed by Paul Ellering in Georgia Championship Wrestling.
Yeah, the same Paul Ellering that made a shocking return to WWE at NXT TakeOver: The End..., seemingly in control of two modern wrecking balls.
These men were identified as the Authors of Pain, Gzim Selmani and Sunny Dhinsa. Whilst the trademark could come for merchandise purposes to coincide with Ellering's return to the company, WWE hasn't the greatest track record when it comes to respecting the Legion of Doom name. One would not be surprised if Dhinsa and Selmani were given The Legion of Doom name in an attempt to make them a big deal before they've done anything.
A better idea would be a 2016 update of the Legion of Doom faction as opposed to the tag team. The original LoD included the Road Warriors, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, Arn Anderson and many others. A dominant faction in NXT could work, headed by Ellering and including the Authors of Pain along with others such as Nia Jax, Bronson Matthews and Oney Lorcan.
Eurgh, it is going to be LOD2016 isn't it?
